The Kenya National Police DT Sacco has been awarded as the winner in this year’s FiRe Awards – Sacco category.

The award comes months after the Sacco was recognized as the top-performing Sacco nationwide in the Management and Capitalization category during the Ushirika Day celebrations held on July 1 at the KICC.

In a statement posted on their official Facebook page, the Sacco expressed their gratitude for being recognized as winners.

The latest award further solidifies their position as a leading organization in the Sacco industry.

The FiRe Awards is a collaborative effort between Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kenya, Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Retirement Benefits Authority, and the Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB).

It aims to celebrate and promote excellence in financial reporting across both public and private sector organizations; to foster transparency and drive sustainable business practices in the wider East African region.

CEO of NSE and Chairman of the FiRe Awards Executive Committee, Geoffrey Odundo, emphasized the importance of integrating technology and innovation into financial reporting, highlighting numerous advantages including transparency, accuracy, speed and efficiency.

In a statement released after the Gala Dinner on December 8 at the Safari Park Hotel, the FiRe Awards Committee stated that the prestigious award not only recognizes the winners but also contributes to raising the standards of financial reporting in the future.
