Saccos in Nairobi have been challenged to position themselves and take advantage of the State’s Big Four Agenda investments especially on the housing sector.
Nairobi County Executive Committee (CEC) Member in charge of Co-operatives, Wachira Gichohi, urged co-operative societies to position themselves to contribute towards achievement of the housing pillar in national government agenda.
“We have the Nairobi County regeneration project which involves rebuilding of some of the city’s dilapidated houses such as those in Jericho, Jerusalem, Umoja and Buru Buru estates,” said Gichohi.
He urged Saccos that have the resources needed to participate in these housing projects to contact his office.

During the event, Sacco Chairperson, Rosemary Aseka appealed to members to be attending education days in large numbers.
