Imarika Foundation to host cultural luncheon for needy learners

Imarika Foundation is set to host a cultural fundraising luncheon in Kilifi County to support bright but financially needy learners, combining heritage celebrations with an education fundraising drive.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Imarika Plaza from 11am, and will bring together cultural festivities with fundraising for education support.

Leaders from Imarika Sacco and Kilifi County will headline the initiative. The Kilifi County Deputy Governor, alongside Imarika Sacco’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, are expected to lead the fundraising drive.

According to Imarika Sacco, the luncheon aims to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage while mobilising support for learners facing financial challenges in pursuing their education.

The initiative underscores the growing role cooperatives and their foundations play in supporting education and community development, extending their impact well beyond financial services.
