- KWFT reopens Nanyuki branch to expand financial services, empower women entrepreneurs, farmers, and households across Laikipia County, strengthening its national network of 190 branches and 125 agents.
The Kenya Women Microfinance Bank (KWFT) has reopened its Nanyuki branch which aims to strengthens its presence around MT Kenya region, expand its financial services and empower women, entrepreneurs, farmers and households across Laikipia County
“The strategic location of this branch will make banking more accessible and convenient for the customers around Nanyuki and neighboring areas, while enabling the bank serve better the growing economy.” said the management
The reopening is aimed to strengthen the one hundred and ninety KWFT’s national network branches and the one hundred and twenty five independent agents across 45 counties
On a report by the management said in Laikipia County only the bank serves more than 250 women groups not forgetting farmers, entrepreneurs and salaried persons
“Reopening of the Nanyuki brank is more than a relocation but a renewed commitment to the people of Laikipia, strengthening our ability to support women , farmers , entrepreneurs and bringing our services closer to customers not forgetting building resilience and improving their quality of life .” said Rose Muyanga the managing director

KWFT has been hailed for supporting livelihood, improving of household income, supporting customers by financing their agriculture, education, water and sanitation projects, offering loans to salaried persons and also contributing to the county economic development
Joshua Irungu the governor Laikipia County welcomed the reopening of the branch promising increased financial services, support of county development priorities, including the climate change, agriculture, agribusiness, clean energy, livestock water and sanitation, healthcare, education not forgetting its impact on the economic activities for the residents
KWFT which is known to work closely with the county government, development partners and community organization in strengthening community resilience and development assured of continued investment to Laikipia women, young people and business in creation of jobs, services and contribution of sustainable economic growth
