Lamu County Cooperative Director Paul Thauri has revealed that the county has registered four new Cooperative societies in the last six months.

Speaking to Sacco Review from Lamu town recently, the director urged women and youth in the county to cooperate and form Saccos to uplift their living standards.

He also advised residents to join Saccos in large numbers and invest heavily to qualify for loans to accomplish their personal development projects.

He noted that many people have managed to accomplish personal development projects through taking loans from their respective Saccos.
