Teachers in Taita Taveta County have been urged to patronise Qwetu Sacco to enable it offer quality services to them.
Speaking during Qwetu Sacco Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) held at Tsavo East Galaxy Resort in Voi town recently, Taita Taveta County KNUT Chairman, Phanuel Mwalwala said the Sacco needed their strong support to enable it to be vibrant and stable.
He asked them to keep politics off the financial institution, arguing that it could lead to its collapse.
The chairman urged teachers to consider increasing their monthly deposits to enable them get bigger loans to accomplish personal development.
He said the Cooperative movement plays an important role in the country by uplifting living standards of Kenyans.
He also advised county residents to join the Sacco in large numbers to enable them secure loans to implement development projects, adding that their daily wages alone are inadequate, hence cannot enable them accomplish their personal goals.
