Tower Sacco Society Ltd will open a new branch in Nakuru town this year as it embarks on an ambitious growth strategy.
The new branch will be located near Gilani’s Supermarket and next to Ecobank, bringing the Sacco’s branch network to ten.
During the Sacco’s 41th Annual General Meeting (AGM), outgoing Board Chairman, Mr James Kiiru said the acquisition follows a positive feasibility study carried out on the viability of the project.
The Ol Kalou based Sacco has satellite offices and intends to open four more in Mai-Mahiu, Boiman, Rumuruti and Magumu.
Sacco Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gabriel Waweru said that the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan will drive their growth and achieve intended results within the shortest time possible.
“We were able to achieve our intended growth with their last Strategic Plan within three years and this is achievable as we are going to remain focused on our core business which is to mobilize savings and offer credit facilities,” an optimistic Waweru said.
Speaking during the event, Chief Guest and Cooperative Bank head of Sacco Banking, Mr Peter Kirugu commended Tower Sacco for reporting improved and stable performance during the 2016 Financial Year.
