Ports Sacco opens new branch in Nairobi to increase customers

Ports Sacco, formerly Mombasa Port Sacco, has opened a new branch in Nairobi at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Embakasi as it targets to reach more customers.

The microfinance institution has plans to expand to all the 47 counties in Kenya as part of its commitment to resolve and adapt to meeting the changing needs of Sacco members through innovative products and services.

Commissioner of Cooperatives David Obonyo praised the move and promised that the Ministry of Co-operatives will fully support the Sacco’s operations.

”We are excited about what the future holds for Ports Sacco and are confident that the opening of the Nairobi ICD branch will serve as a gateway to our efforts to forge further inland and serve more members wherever they are with Equity, Consistency and Care,” said Ondieki.

Sacco Chairman Alfred Konde termed the move a significant step towards achieving the Sacco’s objectives of providing its members with unparalleled financial services.

Sacco’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dedan Ondieki, announced that the institution will invest in technologies to improve customer service.
