Farmers from Gatagua Coffee Farmers Cooperative Society in Murang’a County have received 30,000 coffee seedlings under the Revival of Coffee through Cooperative Societies Programme.
The distribution was carried out by New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union (New KPCU PLC) as part of a nationwide effort to boost coffee production.
The programme, led by New KPCU, targets to distribute 20 million certified high yield coffee seedlings each year. The aim is to reach more than 200,000 farmers across all 33 coffee-growing counties in Kenya.
