President Ruto led the groundbreaking ceremony of affordable homes named LV Point within LV Marina a first of its kind, privately governed, master planned waterfront development.
The massive project in Kisumu is set to become a cornerstone of inclusive growth, sustainable urbanization, and national pride in a defining moment of support for Kenya’s urban and regional transformation.
Located on the shores of Lake Victoria in Kisumu County, the 276 acre development signals a bold new frontier in Kenya’s urban development journey which is a master-planned development that blends eco-conscious living, enterprise opportunities, and destination tourism with long-term investor returns and world class standards.
“This is the kind of ambition and vision that will shape the next generation of our country’s progress,” said President Ruto.
Spearheaded by GulfCap Real Estate, LV Marina is set to become the largest integrated urban development in Kenya’s North Rift region, fusing the strengths of private sector innovation and institutional governance to unlock socio-economic transformation at scale.

Spanning residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, and tourism components, the development is poised to generate thousands of jobs, attract public-private partnerships, and deliver plug and play infrastructure for investors and local entrepreneurs alike.
Strategically located just five minutes from Kisumu International Airport, along the Kisumu – Busia Road, LV Marina is designed as a self-sustaining, residential mixed use, mixed income community, representing one of the most ambitious waterfront developments in sub Saharan Africa.
