The 2025 Africa International Agriculture Expo (AIAE) has officially begun at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya.
This landmark event running from October 28 to 31, 2025, aims to boost agricultural productivity across Africa by showcasing the latest innovations in precision farming, agri-finance, and other technologies.
Speaking during the official opening, Principal Secretary in the State Department for Agriculture, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh Paul expressed pride in Kenya’s role as a regional hub for agribusiness and innovation.
He added that the Expo aligns with the country’s Agricultural Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy (ASTGS), the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), and continental initiatives such as CAADP and the Malabo Declaration.

Dr. Ronoh highlighted Kenya’s commitment to a future where innovation fosters inclusion, enabling farmers from smallholders to large agribusinesses to succeed through improved access to markets, technology, and opportunities.
Tito Mutai, CEO of Agri Africa Exhibition Limited, noted that Kenya’s position as the host country reflects its key role in African agriculture.
The agriculture sector contributes to over 22% directly and 27% indirectly to the national GDP and employs more than 70% of the rural population.
With the theme “Increasing Agricultural Productivity in Africa through Innovation and Market Access,” the Expo is organized by Agri-Africa Exhibition Ltd and Hongxing International Exhibition Co., Ltd of China.
It has attracted over 15,000 participants and more than 300 exhibitors from around the world, including nearly 50 Chinese companies showcasing advanced agricultural machinery, smart irrigation systems, and agri-fintech innovations.
